Some say it raises cortisol, others say it heals cancer
worth. But dont just go and do a 1000+ calorie deficit. Fast for 20 hours and eat for the remaining 4 hour period. I usually eat from 6pm to 10pm. Have one big meal that reaches slightly below my maintenance and then a large bowl of fruits at the last remaining hour of my eating period.

fasting is the best thing you can do to your body, there are many ways with different intensity and for different needs. Look into it and see what type would benefit you the most. I used to fast for the half of day then after training and all of my chores i did my daily intake and never felt or looked better in terms of lean muscle mass.
 
It feels great, I fast 18 hours
im going to start fasting again, it's really satisfying when you get used to it and realize half of your food cravings are actually all in your brain and some type of addiction.
