i remember trying it out, i should have done it for longer to see if it worked or not.

honestly it dosent seem as moronic as thumb pulling, because your actually exerting alot of force with hammer pulling, but who knows, im pretty sure you need constant pressure to move the maxilla though, and thats why stuff like marpe works, or headgear.
