Hello guys. I live with a host family (American/Swiss) and I’m 17 years old. I’ll move out when I turn 18 in about a month.

My host family is very pro vegetarian/vegan. They still eat meat sometimes, but they heavily rely on vegetables and legumes. I started living with them when I was 13, and at that age I got convinced that eating lots of veggies was the healthy way, so I became part of the heavy-veggie lifestyle too.

Before I was 13, growing up in a Slavic household, I barely ate vegetables. It was mostly meat, fruits, grains(ikik), etc. I also didn’t eat that much in general - you could always see my ribs through my skin.

About a month after turning 17, I discovered the “primal diet,” which honestly felt life-changing for me. I started drinking raw milk (around 600 ml a day), eating raw eggs (2–5 daily), relying heavily on meat (sometimes even raw, but my family doesn’t allow it), and avoiding what I consider “goyslop” like seed oils, legumes, and most vegetables. Sometimes my family won’t let me eat more meat unless I also eat salad.

Since switching diets I feel like I have more energy, better digestion, and less brain fog. I also feel fuller from meat/eggs/raw milk than I ever did eating lots of veggies and legumes.

My dilemma is this: do you think it’s better to eat less overall but eat what I see as healthy/primal foods, or eat more food overall even if it includes stuff like salads, grains, nuts, and other goyslop?

My stats rn:
Height; 177cm (5'10)
Weight; 60 kg

also work out/play sports, so I’m trying to figure out what’s actually optimal long term.

And please, people who eat a “modern diet,” don’t flood this thread. I’m mainly looking for advice from people who actually follow primal/animal-based diets or similar.

since you play sports and work out you should get more carb.Fruits is great for that,i think you should get like 300-400 calories from carb. Also check out on mangan, iodine and magnesium, but its quite easy to get them if you combine with organs and fruits

I’ve been thinking maybe I do need more carbs. I already eat fruit like apples, bananas, pineapples, seasonal fruits but mb not in optimal amounts

Also good point about magnesium/iodine/manganese. I didnt really paid much attention to micronutrients yet. What organs/fruits would you recommend?
