Today while coming back from buying groceries, I saw an old man lying by the roadside in a desperate state open wounds, torn clothes, and visibly starving. It was painful to watch.

People often tell me to avoid those fro they’re stereotyped as addicts, thieves and good for nothing undeserving of kindness but I wasn’t raised that way. Growing up my parents taught me that humanity always comes before any kind of prejudice. Every Christmas my grandparents would feed ragpickers and the homeless no matter their religion or background.

That thought went in my mind at that moment. I couldn’t walk away. I went up to him, gave him some snacks, fresh fruits, a sandwich, and a bottle of water. I also gave him all the money I had in my wallet and told him to get his wounds treated and buy himself some clothes He thanked and blessed me telling me he will remember me in my prayers I went on my way feeling satisfied and happy that I had done a good deed

I’m not sharing this to boast I’m sharing it because kindness is slowly fading from our world.

On a side note. Does anyone want my wallet? I just realised it's too bulky and of no use to me. I barely carry any cash. All payments i do it on my amex card and apple and Google pay. I'll buy one of those slim ridge wallets. I bought this from Dubai duty free and it's original Lacoste

Very very nice story Jason!

I'd love to take your wallet if you're offering! Only if it comes with your amex card though :feelsokman:
