Tongue chewing

I dont do tongue chewing with gum. I just press the tip of my tongue as hard as I can on my hard palate. I feel pressure on my nose. As a hawknosecel, this give me hope that it will straighten it up by affecting the cartilage right beneath the bone. However, im also scared that its ganna affect the bone making it bigger.
