do you know that ancient greeks are occultists???democritus who made up atomism and materialism was a philosopher who was truth seaking not a fucking elite jewish guy
right wing traditionally means hierarchism and progressivism (aka progress) means a development from simple things to more complex ones (for example, from barbarianism to civilization). What is right wing progressive
someone like pythogoras maybedo you know that ancient greeks are occultists???
Not very well read on philosophy or most disciplines in general but this does sound interesting, any general philosophy recs?right wing traditionally means hierarchism and progressivism (aka progress) means a development from simple things to more complex ones (for example, from barbarianism to civilization).
basically right wing progressivism is somewhat a tautology because we see hierarchies emerge through progress, like we know early human societies were egalitarian before first civilization in anatolia and the more civilization develops the more hierarchical it is
cope pythagoras was also an occultistsomeone like pythogoras maybe
democritus or just most pre-socratics no
yeah i just said itcope pythagoras was also an occultist
Good. I'm not against science. I'm an idealist trying to save up the concept of "trascendence" with evolution and biology. I don't think all beings are set up for trascendence like idealists thought, only certain ones cappable of having more powers than others will pass the test of time and become Godlike, achieving inmunity and less dependence on other physical beings (more like spirits).yeah that philosophy has many problems (how could non-living beings feel anything if they don't have nerves?)
yeah true. life on earth emerged through chemical reaction, when an astreroid brought DNA to earth that already had water (comets brought water) and through millions of years it all evolved from single celled beings to more complex ones.
and consciousness is a result of our brains work, aka mind is not something immaterial actually yeah. even descrates who thought mind being immaterial faced a problem known as mind-body problem and couldn't ever solve it. modern science shows him being wrong

ancient helenism itself was an occultyeah i just said it
Pragmatism is the worst philosophy I've ever read during university. It's like saying, we don't know why or is it true or false but it works for humans so we will accept it as truth. It's easy to understand, easy to defend but essentially lazy and anti-philosophical.Nah but fr here is my list
- Stoicism
- Existentialism
- Nihilism
- Rationalism
- Empiricism
- Absurdism
- Kantian Deontology
- Utilitarianism
- Pragmatism
- Aristotelianism
I didn't think of any other one tbhPragmatism is the worst philosophy I've ever read during university. It's like saying, we don't know why or is it true or false but it works for humans so we will accept it as truth. It's easy to understand, easy to defend but essentially anti-philosophical.
start studying philosophy with pre-socratics (with heraclitus and democritus being the best ones), then plato (a shit philosopher but very influential), then aristotle (a very good one), then ofc stoics, hedonists etc especially skeptics, any general philosophy recs?
yeah ancient greeks were pagan except for their smartest philosophers like aristotle or democritusancient helenism itself was an occult

Occult Magic in Ancient Greece and Rome | TheCollector
Many ancient Greeks and Romans turned to magic to solve their problems. While the practitioners' objectives were often viewed with suspicion, magic was a legitimate religious practice.www.thecollector.com
many of that contradicts to each other bruhNah but fr here is my list
- Stoicism
- Existentialism
- Nihilism
- Rationalism
- Empiricism
- Absurdism
- Kantian Deontology
- Utilitarianism
- Pragmatism
- Aristotelianism
I like themmany of that contradicts to each other bruh
how can you have existentialism or nihilism in the same list with aristotelianism or deontology lol
or deontology with utilitarianism

well i don't believe in anything transcendent but if it gets proved to exist then i will accept itGood. I'm not against science. I'm an idealist trying to save up the concept of "trascendence" with evolution and biology. I don't think all beings are set up for trascendence like idealists thought, only certain ones cappable of having more powers than others will pass the test of time and become Godlike, achieving inmunity and less dependence on other physical beings (more like spirits).
They don’t contradict each other?dualism contradicts to materialism so nah
coherent and correspond concepts of truth are better than pragmatism yeahPragmatism is the worst philosophy I've ever read during university. It's like saying, we don't know why or is it true or false but it works for humans so we will accept it as truth. It's easy to understand, easy to defend but essentially lazy and anti-philosophical.
if everything is material then how could there be some another transcedent reality lolThey don’t contradict each other?
I know you don't like empirists but take a look on Edmund Husserl, he is very original and worth reading. Noesis - Noema. Operational intentionality. Mathematization of sciences. World of living. Phenomenological time. Trascendental subject...start studying philosophy with pre-socratics (with heraclitus and democritus being the best ones), then plato (a shit philosopher but very influential), then aristotle (a very good one), then ofc stoics, hedonists etc especially skeptics
in roman philosophy im uneducated myself but i would recommend you plotinus. a shit philosopher but again very influential and important to our history.
in medieval philosphy almost everything is shit except for Occam but start with augustine ig, anselm, then thomas aquinas and his opponent duns scotus. then read William Occam who was a student of duns scotus and he's the best medieval philosopher imo.
in modern age philosophy there are many good ones like Montaigne, Francois de la Rochefoucauld, Spinoza, Hume etc but also many shit ones like descrates or locke. i still wouldn't ignore shit philosophers if they are very influential because its good for general brain development to know them.
after Hume you should start studying classical german philosophy with Kant, then shopenhaur, hegel etc. ofc nietzsche.
then philosophy became boring imo but you can read spengler or heidegger
why do you think i don't like empiricism?I know you don't like empirists but take a look on Edmund Husserl, he is very original and worth reading imho.
i think kant was wrong so yep husserl is also wrong but i agree on him being originalI know you don't like empirists but take a look on Edmund Husserl, he is very original and worth reading imho. Noesis - Noema. Operational intentionality. Epoje. Mathematization of sciences. World of living. Phenomenological time. Trascendental subject.
guys like platon was occultistyeah ancient greeks were pagan except for their smartest philosophers like aristotle or democritus
well i don't believe in anything transcendent but if it gets proved to exist then i will accept it
hedonism was debunked by science when researches found out that most people wouldn't like to feel pleasure 24/7Mogged by hedonism
Those researchers are depressed, hedonism would fix themhedonism was debunked by science when researches found out that most people wouldn't like to feel pleasure 24/7
honestly, if philosophy came in the democritus path rather than platonic then human civilization would be much more developed nowadaysGood. I'm not against science. I'm an idealist trying to save up the concept of "trascendence" with evolution and biology. I don't think all beings are set up for trascendence like idealists thought, only certain ones cappable of having more powers than others will pass the test of time and become Godlike, achieving inmunity and less dependence on other physical beings (more like spirits).

consciousness is also physicalMaterialism be like: "I know that everything is physical, all the evidence is right here, inside my exclusively non-physical consciousness"
Then measure it, touch it, see it, move it. Point to where you see the consciousness inside a brain.consciousness is also physical
consciousness is brain's function and works with activation of certain combinations of neurons. so you can't really measure it or touch it since its a very complex combination of organized active neurons. neurons are physical thus consciosness is also physical but you can't touch it because its too complex and doesn't have one concrete centreThen measure it, touch it, see it, move it. Point to where you see the consciousness inside a brain.
by materialism i mean that the universe is fundamentally material aka physical
read summary on democritus philosophy on this topic tbh
Then measure it, touch it, see it, move it. Point to where you see the consciousness inside a brain.

how?Quantum Mechanics literally debunks that Theory into insignificance you do understand ?
nah im good at creative things especially drawingAlso from what I gather about you based on your posts is that you are most likely morbidly left brained i.e.
nah its just way too retardedutterly unable to grasp the idea of anything beyond your 5 limited physical senses, which is why Concepts like
Quantum Mechanics or even Leibniz's Monadology will seem like gibberish whereas in reality to comes
closest to the understanding the fundamental Nature of Reality which is that Matter is subservient to Mind
and the latter is responsible for the birth of the former.
mind doesn't have separate existence. descrates thought that shit too yet wasn't able to solve mind-body problem that emerged if you think mind exists independentely from body lol.I even asked you a similar question in another one of your threads regarding whether or not you believe in
Mind as a seperate existence and *crickets" never got a response meanwhile you replied to everyone else.
I ought to have said “material” rather than “physical”.consciousness is brain's function and works with activation of certain combinations of neurons. so you can't really measure it or touch it since its a very complex combination of organized active neurons. neurons are physical thus consciosness is also physical but you can't touch it because its too complex and doesn't have one concrete centre
physics is just a science that explains how material world operatesI ought to have said “material” rather than “physical”.
I wouldn't call consciousness physical, but if you consider information like the laws of physics physical, then I guess.
Materialism be like: "I know that everything is physical, all the evidence is right here, inside my exclusively non-physical consciousness"
nothing can be higher than our president/tsar. let alone some fictional godPeople like OP are infants on the path of knowledge and you need to be patient with them
Imagine the arrogance of Humans with our 5 limited physical senses thinking we should grasp God and
the Concept of Infinity.
We are like Insects watching Humans build Aircrafts and Skyscrapers in the grand universal scheme.
how?
nah im good at creative things especially drawing
nah its just way too retarded
do you reality think anyones reason existed before their brain emerged in the womb lmfao
otherwise how could reason create matter if its always that reason cannot work without brain since its brain's function lol
mind doesn't have separate existence. descrates thought that shit too yet wasn't able to solve mind-body problem that emerged if you think mind exists independentely from body lol.
located in atoms and accumulates on surfacesWhere does Electricity come from ? like where is it located in stasis without the use of Conduits to bring
it into Manifestation.
Well what are we really talking about thenphysics is just a science that explains how material world operates
no better explanation of the world exists yet
other explanatory systems like christianity, platonism or whatever just fail and are retarded
quantums themselves are material so as consiousness and laws of physics are just our own made up things that explain how material world operatesWell what are we really talking about then
It's more about the perspective of what is the higher form of reality, and on a quantum level it seems information appears to come out on top.
On the material level, material is constantly changing, it is subject to the seemingly immutable immaterial laws of physics.
And all these conclusions are formed from our immaterial observations of immaterial consciousness.
A lot of this is just based on which way you're looking at it, though.
