On the subject of forward growth, most looksmaxers focus on just the forward growth of the upper and lower jaws. While this narrow scope of what forward growth is, is enough for most people, some people’s entire faces (including their neurocraniums) are recessed.
The dude above has a flattened side profile for a Caucasian, but neither his chin nor his jaw are “textbook recessed”. His problem is that his entire face is recessed.
Compare that guy’s profile to Henry Cavill’s profile that has total facial projection of his neurocranium and his viscerocranium:
Cavill’s entire facial structure is more forward. His whole skull has longer depth.
