Guys never train Obliques, traps, lats, or neck until you know what your doing in the gym and are able to apply certain training to your base (genetics). To much traps, lats , and neck will detract from your frame by making your shoulder proportions look worse. The same goes for having big obliques because it will make your waist look blocky. I fell for the beginner advice that told me to train obliques for a v-taper :(

That was a big mistake and if your starting training I would actually suggest you don't train core at all.

lats are perfectly fine to train regardless, they dont skew your aesthetics. Although i do agree with the rest, obliques fuck ur V taper and increase the waist width causing ur shoulder width to waist width ratio proportions to decrease, although if u have super wide clavs and a tiny waist they are worth training, traps also cook ur aesthetics due to doing the opposite as it decreases ur shoulder width appearance
