Tranexamic acid for skin whitening

Tranexamic acid is a popular main ingredient used in some Korean supplements and skincare products to brighten skin similarly to hydroquinone. Originally used to stop heavy periods in women because it promotes blood clotting so do not go above recommended amounts. (Could have serious side effects if taken in large doses such as stroke or death)

I personally wouldn’t recommend it as tans are often regarded as attractive and of course the health risks.

Just leaving this here as I haven’t seen anyone talk about tranexamic acid
