The ideal IPD is as wide as your PFL allows. If you have a short PFL too wide looks bad, but the longer your PFL the wider-set your eyes should be. If you have a 45 mm PFL, 0.6 ES ratio ain’t bad.

Not really, it depends on whether your PFL is long because you have long nasal scleral triangles or because you have long lateral scleral triangles.

Long nasal scleral triangles might benefit someone with a wide IPD as they would result in a narrower intercanthal distance (people with wide IPDs would naturally have wide intercanthal distances as their eyes are further apart)

On the other hand, long lateral scleral triangles would exacerbate wide IPDs as they result in a wider outercanthal distance that gives the illusion of a narrower bizygomatic width.
