How do I prevent hyperpigmentation on Trentnoin, I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks using the sandwich method along with sunscreen every morning. Yet my nose is very red as long as the right and left side of my chin. Also having very dry skin in this area with no amount of moisturizer helping it go away.

Use sunscreen and consistently apply lotion throughout the day

I’ve been using sunscreen everyday 46spf and try to apply moisturizer as much as I can in school but it seems after 15 minutes it just goes back to flakes.

Switch to Isotretinoin and abuse a tinted sunscreen moisturizer

Ok any ideas of azelaic acid I’ve heard that was effective aswell

Yes and I’m guessing needs to be prescribed?
Yeah but it’s not difficult to get prescribed just go to your local dermatologist if you haven’t already. Or you can find it online somewhat easily is you have a source

Accutane is the only thing that will work I wouldn’t waste time doing anything else especially if you are in your teen years. I did Tretinoin for a while before switching to isotretinoin/Accutane and it’s a big difference topical solutions only do so much.

I’ve heard it’s the most effective way, not saying I’m scared of side effects but definitely don’t want my skin to be cooked for months before looking better. But I’m realizing might be unavoidable.

Just do it bro I was worried about it trashing my skin too lol but as long as you don’t rape your skins hydration barrier with super heavy cleaners it’ll be fine.

Alright how’s your experience on it so far?
2 weeks on it, noticed brightening/detan, skin feels so fucking smooth, its like a newborns skin, and theres side effects of tret but its minimized by a lot eg flaking and it doesnt irritate cuz of the steroid, skins also clearer, marks r going away, and yea its good, i still have 2 weeks left on it
