my doctor recommended me tretinoin 0.05 because i lied about taking isotretinoin so she thought i might’ve already had some immunity prior, but ive never taken 0.05 or any dosage will i be okay or should i not start daily and do it 2-3 a week and build up to daily?

Just do it 2x per week for 2 weeks then 3x so on and so on until daily use

You may or may not experience some skin irritation/peeling etc

if you fuck up your skin barrier by taking 0.05 prematurely and you cant handle it you will deal with the consequences for months
just say you think you should be on 0.025, doubt your derma will protest much to starting on a lower dosage

Okay, i’m also planning on using cera ve moisturizer and 50 spf sun screen

0.1 is the most aggressive dose of tretinoin, start at 0.025 and work your way up

If you actually mean 0.01 and not 0.1 then I didn’t even know that was a thing lol, start at 0.025 anyway and you can downgrade/upgrade at will
