No matter what, we will always wish for more than we already have, even if what we have now was our wish in the past. A person could have the best life with everything that they think they want, but even if they don’t do it purposefully, they will always wish for something more. This is why a feeling of true content with life can likely only be felt shortly before death, because you become certain that there is nothing else for you to do, there is no time left. Also why people are so afraid of dying suddenly, like in a car crash or something, and most are not afraid when they know that they will die (of something natural), dying suddenly means that a person will never feel true content, feel that they had not achieved enough, which is why it is frightening.
