I talked to senior devs, mentors, and friends everyone gave me the same breakdown bro the H-1B is an unpredictable mess right now, tech immigration policy the officials themselves don't understand and Bay Area rent will eat half your take home pay. They advised me to decline the ticket, stay home, work remotely and stack cash while the market and policy stabilized. So that’s what I’ve been doing all because of Mr orange man who had to ruin everything. Crazy to thing without that I would be ina. Completely different place but it's fine I'm still happy man. You have a better chance of a better life in India than in USA

The problem is that some Curries go abroad to US- and make it seem like they're living the dream but they struggle to do menial tasks that their servants would do otherwise, have 0 friends or social life. For some reason curry femoids do far better in this- I guess a better upbringing-

Meanwhile many curries make it big back in their homes- getting a super high paying job- still travel abroad, still own a nice lofty house, etc. etc.

Point is that grass always seems greener on the other side but many H1Bs are in absolute miserable companies (ghost companies) with little to no social interaction, no friends, and a feeling of total alineation.
