15% of Turkey's population lives in Southeastern Europe. Genetics are clinal. Ergo the genetic makeup of Turkey is a mix of (Southern) European, West Asian and Central Asian.

In terms of phenotype, Turks are LARGELY intermediate and are LIGHTER than most Iranians. But they're substantially more diverse than Balts and cannot be classified into absurd "white" or "non-white" categories. Ethnicity isn't about skin colour. It's about culture and language. There are "white Turks" who have the same culture as "brown Turks" and those "white Turks" have the same skin lightening genes as Germans.
