Turned down HGH as small child - growth plates open at 19? Pin?

I'll obviously get an x-ray to double check growth plates, but I was prescribed HGH at age 8 (endocrinologist). My family persuaded me not to do it at the time and I regret it. I am 5'9" 130lbs at 19 and have grown within the past year according to recent physical. Would I have potential of benefitting or is it just simply too late? Don't want to waste time and money.
