im gonna be tutoring kids for some money since my parents dont allow me to work part time which is odd. im doing $10/hr should i increase the price?

depends if ur tutoring them online
if u are 10/hr is fine
in person u could prob raise to 15/hr

How old are you?? 10 is incredibly low. I charge £35 an hour. Which is around $47.

I guess it depends on your age , level of experience , and level of education. And what you’re offering in terms of value.

Ill be trying this after this years school, dont think anyone would let an 18 yo tutor their children?

just start teaching, u must have good grades to get parents trust tho

How did you start?

I teach maths and physics. I created a landing page of what we do. I then created leaflets a did Facebook ads and google ads + door to door. Commenting on Facebook and Reddit and TikTok when people ask maths and physics questions, doing daily tik tok videos on different questions.

Your selling a high ticket since if the stay with you for a full year it’s a lot of money. So you only realistically need a few students.

But with tutoring there is obviously a limit since your trading time for money. And you don’t have infinite time

How did you start?
Forgot to mention it’s really hard to start in the summer since not many people are looking for tutoring.

And the type of parent who wants there kid to have tutoring during summer, is going a be a pain in the ass client.
