It’s well known but I’m just not seeing it being discussed on this forum so I wanted to point it out for those who are unaware.

Alcohol and smoking are legit bad for aging when it comes to not only skin but the whole body.

Most people think effects won’t be that pronounced since a lot of other people are drinking and smoking but removing them out of your life could really put you ahead of others.

I’ll try to add studies to the thread when I’m doing a whole skincare research later but right now I can tell off the top of my head a study I know.If I remember correctly 8 or more drinks a week caused increased upper facial lines, blood vessel dilation, under eye puffiness and midface volume loss.

Inb4 someone says it’s about balance :feelsahh: JFL NO it’s not, that’s what alcoholic western women say to each other. To be a real skin mogger both in present skin quality and anti-aging:dump that bottle put out that cigarette

Some women are waking up to the truth don’t fall behind

What is the possibility of the 55 year old ultimate skin mogger Chuando Tan smoking or drinking ????

“When you’re 20 years old and drink, that drink leaves your body in about three hours. When you’re 40 years old, it takes an average of 33 hours."
Brutal.

Provided you stay away from stuff that's obviously bad for you (smoking and drinking have devastating effects on your body way beyond skin quality), the two biggest factors related to skin aging are
1. Sun exposure
2. Genetics

Genetics is everything you retard, I've met people who smoke everyday and drink like there's no tomorrow and still have better skin quality than me. One of my friends gets wasted several times a week, 3-4 years older and has a good skin. Keep coping about alcohol, smocking is legit ofc.

Look man I’ve never interacted with you before and for no reason you start your post by insulting me and then try to bring up a point.Just talk like a normal human being and I’ll answer.

Genetics are very important but you can’t change them.We try to max out everything else we can and that still matters quite a bit.
In my opinion from what I’ve researched alcohol makes a difference and in yours it doesn’t no need to get weirdly triggered over it,agree to disagree.

I don't care if I insult you or not, everybody does it, literally makes no fucking difference. Yeah ofc genetics make a big difference, its life.

It's actually the sun

Photoaging is unquestionably responsible for the great majority of unwanted age-associated changes in the skin's appearance, including coarseness, wrinkling, sallow color, telangiectasia, irregular pigmentation, and a variety of benign, premalignant, and malignant neoplasms

Thanks, is that from the earlier link you posted? I’ve been trying to get a popular derm to address the Reddit posts points. And hopefully debunk them.

Drinking is something I can live without thankfully, but smoking when out I always do it coz my friends just give me one, it's a bit of a social cue too, Im a social smoker (5 a week max) some weeks don't have any when I don't see friends who smoke.
If I go clubs then I'll always smoke

It’s one of the worst for aging sadly,I like cigars as well but didn’t have any in years.

I understand the social aspect though, how you just feel awkward and out of place

I didn’t drink so using cigars instead made me fit in better with the rest

Yeah may have to slowly start saying no when friends offer me one.

Also I don't go clubbing much anymore so smoking shouldn't be too much of an issue here.

Maybe could use a vape? Bt again that's still something you are inhaling..

The early we stop the better we'll look so ppl can cuck themselves I guess

Legit AF.

I've quitted drinking alcohol 9 months ago (was a heavy binge drinker on weekends), smoking 5 months ago (was a smoker for 12 years), drinking coffee (both with and without caffeine) and soda drinks (such as Coke, Fanta, etc) 2 months ago. Currently I only drink water and milk. Not even fruit juice because you won't get all the vitamins of the juiced fruits unless you use a very high end (+1000$) juicer so I eat them instead.
I've also started going to a nutritionist and gymmaxing (leanmaxxing in my case) this week.

I've saved many skinmaxxing threads made here and will start a skincare routine and consult with a dermatologist to optimize mine in a couple of months, but first I wanted to get the perfect habits right.

It's all or nothing, can't do a expensive skincare routine without quitting alcohol and smoking, that would be stupid.

Mirin I drank just alittle when I was a teen.Smoked like 20 cigarettes total in my life.So I’m close to your stats.

I’m completely Robert Pattinson vampiremaxed also. Some girls are into it where I live though,so it’s not bad, somewhat of a niche
