Just ran it for the first time on both my skin (at 0.5mm and to test if I can handle, at 0.75mm) and my scalp (at 1.5mm) on FAST setting. Skin was OK but the scalp hurted like a bitch.

Anyways, I have a few questions,

1) I see people apply hyaluronic acid serum for the needles to glide and it was indeed very helpful. However, when I was microneedling one side of my face, the other and my forehead got dry off the serum so I needed to reapply. Did I do something wrong, because I would presume people microneedle their entire face in one go.

2) Should I do anything if I bleed? For disinfection? Like wiping away with a sterile cloth wetted with isopropanol?

Derminator 2 is a waste of time. I did a session 1.5 weeks ago, with 1.75mm needles on the cheeks, 1.5mm temples, 1mm chin + philtrum. Did nothing for my collagen. My skin still looks like the aftermath of both world wars. It's deeply unsettling how everything is rigged against me.

There's no chemical or procedure that's going to give you serious results over the course of a week...

Not sure of the benefits of dermaneedling, but of course you wouldnt notice results.

Even RF microneedling that run like 2-2.5mm depths take like 3-4 sessions spaced by 6 weeks apart and the results come in at like 6 months my G. You can't tell anything at a single week.

Apply HA serum and needle one section of your face at a time (forehead + hairline, left cheek + jaw, right cheek + jaw etc.). Re-apply while needling if necessary.

Disinfect needles with pure ethanol before and after use (and rinse with hot water in between sections), wash face in shower w/ light cleanser before and rinse with just water after (don't touch with unwashed hands or dirty towels), apply a topical antiseptic like Betadine then rinse off before beginning. And don't needle active acne.

Though unlikely, it's literally over for you if you spread a skin infection all over your face by not following correct hygiene procedures. Literally your facial skin can be scarred for life or rot off.

Best to use pure aloe vera / aloe vera face mask / occlusive ointment like Infadolan after rinsing face post-needling.

@Avirochad you sir is based.

Yep. That's what I will do. I just don't want to leave the hand unit on the table (even though I disinfect it with alcohol-saturated pads) while applying the shit on my face.
I change the cartridge every time. Do I need to disinfect anyways? I think a cartridge comes sterile in its bag.
hot water
It blunts the needles: https://dermaroller.owndoc.com/dermaroller-instructions.pdf. I run lukewarm water for that.

Do I need to disinfect my face and scalp before microneedling? Or just cleansing is enough?

That's exactly what I do for my facial skin. Run lukewarm water after session, air dry, and then apply hyaluronic acid and then Infadolan. I wonder if I can also use copper peptides after the session though. Ordinary's serum is in HA vehicle, so I can use it, and then seal it in with Infaodlan. What's your take on this?

And how about my scalp? Do you think I can use Infadolan on my scalp? I want to have some sort of post-treatment routine for my scalp as well.

Probably should be using sterile rubber gloves

I also apply alcohol to my hands before the session and never touch it anywhere else. Do I still need it?

I think Imma run it anyways to be safe.

No need to disinfect the cartridge if you use a new one every time. I would rinse though to protect from small dust particles on the cartridge/needles.

Ideal to apply and then rinse off some topical disinfectant like betadine before starting.

I would wait a day before applying copper peptide serum as that's recommended by the vendors + it will blunt inflammatory response which is not what you want immediately after needling.

Infadolan is quite difficult to wash from hair in my experience so I would not recommend its use on the scalp except possibly close to the hairline.

Thanks G. Any healing ointment or hydrating shit I can run on my scalp for post-treatment? Hyaluronic acid serum? A simple moisturizer?

I put aloe vera on my hair (as a hair gel) and face (before bed). Benefits skin and hair hydration and accelerates healing, including of the scalp.
