Decided to try 40kHz ultrasonic cavitation to burst the fat cells in my buccal fat pads. Here’s what happened.
Before
Made cardboard cutouts to tape to my zygos to eliminate any chances to go deaf. Also had plenty of ultrasound gel with me to cool my face, evenly distribute sound waves, and reduce friction. Drank 3L+ fluids, debloated and loaded up on electrolytes. Also barely ate to mitigate post bloating.
During
After I set up the machine I chose setting D for 0.25s per sound wave at 6/10 intensity. I added a pea size amount of ultrasound gel to my cheek then blew air into that one cheek. Then I used the machine on it, evenly covering the area and circling spots to minimise burning/nerve damage. I did 12 minutes each side, ranging from 4-7 intensity (depending on how much it stung). My cheeks were already noticeable more hollow, almost liquidy, but it stang. Bad. My cheeks were red within 3 minutes.
After
I put way the equipment and headed to the freezer to ice my cheeks. About 5 minutes total. The redness was slowly getting better but some spots got worse, my cheeks also started looking chubby despite still having hollows. 30 mins after, I looked like a squirrel storing nuts for winter.
And to make it worse it was 3am, I was struggling to stay awake. To help calm it down I did some lymphatic drainage and skincare, they did nothing. Fast forward to now (12 hours post session) I’m not noticeably bloated but the burns definitely are. I can just claim acne at work so I’ll be fine.
