I remember being under a tree in the middle of a not so busy street that was more like an alley. There was a granite table with a matching bench where my ass had been sitting. Very peaceful place. As I nursed my tea with a lit cigarette Sylvester Stallone invaded my space again. This time he asked if I wanted to fight. He seemed extremely agitated, but then again he might have just been playing. I don't know. Then perhaps it was a few hours later that that black/latina chick with a terrible voice engaged with me. She ended up parting with some rather good advice. At first, after our exchange, I felt wonderful. She's a really important lady and I was able to make her change her mind about some things. I was able to change her viewpoint for the better. After standing up from the toilet though and seeing myself in front of the mirror my elation immediately vanished. "You are fat...", the devil told me standing there with his number. Me and him had it out for the next couple of days or so. Anyways, even though the pretty lady never ended up taking my advice I still feel like I'd achieved something. It was a small victory for the day. Maybe she actually did, end up taking my advice, cause I don't think I ever heard much from her after that. If she did then I know she's having a wonderful time. Wonderful and miserable at the same time. Ugh.......
Green was the color. Then later it was yellow. Green and yellow during that time. Walking around out by the airport. Just me, my thoughts, the sights and sounds. I'd get me something to eat and a pack of smokes. Drink a nice Sarsi or Pocari Sweat. It was all good. High schoolers playing basketball outside our window. Motorbikes zipping around. The blue and white tile in the bathroom. It was a nice place to be.
It all started on a roof, or maybe it was on a familiar road. Said something about Karma and this nice fellow came out of the blue. He asked me who I was and what I was doing before giving a solemn warning. Warnings often turn out to be true but you know, one man's garbage. Shortly after embarking from that rooftop or whatever we took us a little vacation. Four or five days. It was nice. We had popcorn and ice cream. Took a few walks and watched some television. Couldn't imagine who I'd end up running into.
