Due to 5 minutes of research on chatgpt I’ve found that implants are a better decision than a fat graft since while only being slightly more expensive, they have a far less chance of minor complications aswell as lower chance of blindness,(although extremely low on both ends). This will probably be something I end up doing as my infras are recessed to hell, maybe anybody with a fat graft can lmk their experince

Brother, both fix different problems

If your problem is hard tissue then implants, if it’s soft tissue then fat grafting

wasn’t aware so if you’ve just got a deficiency in soft tissue a fat graft would be more favorable?

Implants are last ditch efforts, if u don’t have severe infraorbital recession, fat grafting is a better option

Both can end up looking weird

It’s a tricky area

What why would you need 2?
because you cant fully predict how much of the fat will survive, for some about 70% and for some almost all of it will die during the healing process. because its unpredictable the surgeons will refuse to overfill, obviously. the fat that does survive is there permanently. most people will need 2 sessions

I probably need 2x like people said in this thread. It makes sense if you are going from 0 fat cells @ eye orbits like I had

jfl the skin is thin on the under eye region

implants are so obvious

fat graft or filler reign supreme for under eyes

I wasn’t very informed when I made this thread I can see why 2 sessions of fat grafting might be better than implants, I’ll probably do that in the future
