Hi I'm 16 and think I have ADHD
I'm in the UK and recently did GCSE's where I did alright (I got 3 8s and 4 7s and 2 6s and 1 5) which is around top 15% of population or around an average of A grade
But the thing is I barely studied, for most of my papers I did like 2 hours maybe of work which mostly consisted of reading chatgpt summaries and not doing actual questions or flashcards. I find it extremly hard to start studying and even more to stay focused
And I also didn't have a study schedule and I kept procrastinating.
I said I would start at January and by April I didn't even do more than 4 hours in a week once

I have the symptoms of ADHD especially around school/studying
I'm unable to get diagnosed by the NHS due to long wait times and also my parents won't pay for private
So should I start using ADHD meds from other sources
I'm thinking of starting Ritalin at a regular schedule and avoiding high doses frequently

I want to get atleast 3 As in my A levels (which I think I can achieve as in my subjects I got 8,8,7)

So should I start?

idk how the UK works but I'm pretty sure if you talk to your social worker about it they can lwk get you resources that make shit easier. for example I have adhd n autism and they made all my school work easy and my grades increased. also ADDY (the med) works best for adhd in your case. it helps you focus. only side effect is not feeling sleepy or hungry.

I'll see about trying to talk to a social worker but it might not work I've asked my parents before and they refused. Is adderall much better than ritalin, ik its stronger but is that the only difference

also careful where you get the medication. a lot of addicts use that type of med to feel some rush so chances are it can be laced. goodluck with school bhai.
