i dont really listen to rap, like i listen to some rap songs as long as its not about sex, drugs or alcohol. except thats what 99% of rap is about so i dont listen to it. and theres "conscious rap" but thats just cringy af to listen to. and white guys cant rap except for eminem. what i listen to these days thats close to rap is the rap/pop punk mix up, the stuff that travis barker produces. but i rarely listen to. examples are stuff like machine gun kellys new stuff. jdxn. and some others i forgot.

Majority of other genres don't have nearly as much of the vulgarity as rap. What other genres sing about whores and materliasm as much? Most other songs are dumb love songs, rarely about just having whores. Drugs is somewhat true, but its much more subtle in other genres. Kurt Cobain used tons of Heroin but non of his songs directly allude to it like rap music does. Violence i don't agree at all, except rap and some metal genres what other genre sings so much about Violence?

Also the other thing is, not a single popular rap song except "this is america" talked about something deep, while you can find many very popular songs in the past decades that got popular while singing about something else then drugs, sex, etc.
