I ordered the tretinoin about a week or two ago and wasn’t even sure if it was real cause it was some Mexican brand, anyways I’ve been using it for about two days but clearly didn’t look into it enough and used it this morning even though apparently you aren’t supposed to 😂 anyways last night I could see my skin start to flake so at least I know it’s working, but I’m gonna start using it every two nights because I don’t want my skin barrier too damaged. Also gonna get a better moisturizer the one I got rn is pretty ass.(Don’t mind my skin in the photo probably irritated as shit rn but it’s just so you can see the flaking I was talking about.)

flaking doesn't mean "it's working", it means you're irritating your skin, have used too much and haven't moisturised properly.

it actually means the opposite of what you think - skin irritation can age skin. that's why you go slow, start with a 0.025% before moving to .5% etc and go eod or every few days. sometimes if you apply too much on a monday, and don't use it again, on friday you'll see your skin peeling off.

the effects are slow and work over years, not days. in 10 years of regular use you'll look better than without, i.e. the counterfactual of you not having used it for those 10 years which you will never see, but if you look at those around you, you will look years younger. not results within 6 months.

10 Years? The first positive results appear at 6-12 weeks of usage

Lmao you’re acting as if I’ve used it in the past you can’t even offer your own argument to not be using it

Tretinoin does not take 10 years to work

You and the deluded OP are wrong and are arguing with a strawman. I didn't say 10 years. I gave an example involving 10 years.

You are not seeing significant benefits at all at 12 weeks. Where visible benefits are seen in studies in e.g. 16 week timelines are for older people in their 50s and 60s who have significant skin aging. This does not apply to children in their teenage years or people in early 20s.

Quite frankly, the OP should be on his knees that someone as knowledgable as me - who has used tretinoin for many, many years - is giving his bullshit the time of day. His sheer fukking arrogance.

tretonoin worked after like a month for me (anecdotal IK, it takes longer for most) but it gave me the clearest skin i’ve ever had. don’t listen to people telling u it’s cope or that u have to wait 10 years :ROFLMAO:. tret is up there with accutane for my skincare holy grail

You're an arrogant f'ing soyboy. You have no idea what you're talking about. Copy and paste this thread into some AI like chatgpt and it'll tell you you're a f'ing moron who is wrong about everything. It'll say I'm probably being a nasty meanie, but IDGF.

You're a goddamn POS ahole who got a new toy and is terribly excited about it flaking your skin off like the total pr1ck you are. This is the internet so i kind of forget that you arent' in front of me because if you were speaking like this to me in real life, you wouldn't be. I can visualise this skinny pr1ck fvck and my instinctive reaction would be to flush your head down a toilet, but I can't since you're so far away.
