This is the old chart most of you will be familiar with:

This new chart has been compiled using data from three different studies and separates between topical and oral administration as well as DHT measured in different tissues.

Finasteride is a redundant drug. No reason for people to take it when Dutasteride exists.

Some people have adverse side effects from 5ar drugs. If you can get away with fin, why take dut.
700mg test will yield more results than 300mg, doesn't mean the latter is redundant.

whats your dose
0.25. exploring the option of taking dut while on cycle.

So whats the ideal dosage?
As little as you can get away with while achieving your goals (aka halting hairloss, regrowth, positive effects on skin).

Shit comparison.

In the case of identical side effect profiles, the less effective drug becomes redundant. Side effect profile is practically exactly the same for Fin and Dut. Some studies even show Fin having deleterious effects while Dut not. Got none on 2.5mg Dut myself.

It’s not like blasting Test where side effects become increasingly harder to control the higher the dosage after a certain point. If sides of 300mg vs 700mg were identical you’d be an idiot not to blast 700mg when results are superior. People that blast 300mg over 500mg as a first cycle for example are in fact idiots.

OP is saying More is not always better and you are saying "no not true because i got no sides" "Muhh studies "

It is individual based why do you care if some choose less but reach their goals. not everyone needs Dut 10 mg

I dont think finasteride affects skin quality correct? @chadisbeingmade

Blocking ar5 2 vs ar5 1+2 makes a difference. It's very possible that someone will experience no sides on fin but some sides on dut.
If you respond well to dut and aren't worried about neurosteroids (ik compensatory pathways probably exist), you can go for dut.
Having a less potent version of a medication available doesn't make it redundant.

fin only lowers type 2 (which is good for hair)
dut lowers type 1 and type 2 (suppresses dht more, and is good for both skin and hair)
