I have already talked about this in the first thread, but I will repeat it anyways in a concise way:

Hydrocortisone (HC) is a topical corticosteroid (again, no, not the "scary" anabolic/androgenic steroid for any giga high inhibcels) used to treat inflammation, redness, swelling, etc.

One of its side effects is thinning of skin, which is exactly why it is so effective when it comes to shrinking your nose.

Potential Side Effects of 1% Hydrocortisone (uncommon, mild):

- Skin atrophy (1)
- Rosacea-like eruptions (1)

If you experience any of these, take a break or hop off for good.

Proper Usage of Hydrocortisone:​

Apply two pea-sized drops of 1% hydrocortisone cream onto your nose and spread evenly around the cartilage, including the bottom of the nose. I recommend you do not go above the tip of the nose and onto the nose bridge, as we do not want skin thinning there, as it can make the dorsa more prominent. Rub the cream in thoroughly, after which, remove any excess HC from around the nose, but do keep a layer of it on the desired area for about five minutes, then take that off as well. After a few minutes, if not straight away, water may start leeching out of the top of your nose, which is technically a good thing, so just keep wiping it off, that should persist to up to 15 minutes. The effects of hydrocortisone should last for up to an entire day.

After prolonged use, your body will feel the slight change and will adapt to it, potentially causing you a bit of trouble.

Since HC raises your cortisol, we need something that lowers it. Here is where Ashwagandha comes into play. You know how people claim it has "testosterone-boosting" effects? Well that is the case because it lowers your cortisol (which is what can stagnate test production, hence the claims).

Take 500-800mg (depending on your brand's dosage per pill) right before you apply the cream. You can keep doing that for about 8 weeks, after which I suggest you take a 4-week break from ashwagandha, whilst also slightly lowering your HC usage. After that, you can resume just as usual.

I applied it and did as you said, but there's no water seeping through my nose, did I do something wrong? I made sure there was a layer of HC on my nose too so idk what happened

1. Where would you add hydrocortisone in a skincare routine (cleanser -> treatment -> moisturizer -> sunscreen)? Since you mentioned wiping the hydrocortisone off after 5 minutes, I wouldn’t want to wipe off my other skincare as well right?

2. When you wipe the hydrocortisone off, are you using a towel, cotton pad, etc., or are you using water at all during the wiping process?

3. I saw your older thread about nose size reduction and noticed that you mentioned using 0.05% tretinoin for 1–3 weeks for a more permanent result. Is it better to use hydrocortisone and tret together, or just tret for a more permanent effect?

4. Since you mentioned using tret before bed and hydrocortisone in the morning, if you’re using both, I saw a comment on your older thread where you recommended applying tret first and then hydrocortisone in the morning. Or would you just stick to using them separately at their appropriate times (tret at night and hydrocortisone in the morning)?

1. Where would you add hydrocortisone in a skincare routine (cleanser -> treatment -> moisturizer -> sunscreen)? Since you mentioned wiping the hydrocortisone off after 5 minutes, I wouldn’t want to wipe off my other skincare as well right?

2. When you wipe the hydrocortisone off, are you using a towel, cotton pad, etc., or are you using water at all during the wiping process?

3. I saw your older thread about nose size reduction and noticed that you mentioned using 0.05% tretinoin for 1–3 weeks for a more permanent result. Is it better to use hydrocortisone and tret together, or just tret for a more permanent effect?

4. Since you mentioned using tret before bed and hydrocortisone in the morning, if you’re using both, I saw a comment on your older thread where you recommended applying tret first and then hydrocortisone in the morning. Or would you just stick to using them separately at their appropriate times (tret at night and hydrocortisone in the morning)?

All I'm going to say is that it does shrink the nose in most cases, however not all skin complexions/conditions are predisposed to said shrinkage. But whether to use it or not - is up to you. Take a dermatologist's advice, or at the very least, find reputable threads here if you do want to use it (I'm on about general usage btw, not exclusively for the nose).

Hydrocortisone (HC) is a topical corticosteroid (again, no, not the "scary" anabolic/androgenic steroid for any giga high inhibcels) used to treat inflammation, redness, swelling, etc.

One of its side effects is thinning of skin, which is exactly why it is so effective when it comes to shrinking your nose.

Potential Side Effects of 1% Hydrocortisone (uncommon, mild):

- Skin atrophy (1)
- Rosacea-like eruptions (1)

If you experience any of these, take a break or hop off for good.

Proper Usage of Hydrocortisone:​

Apply two pea-sized drops of 1% hydrocortisone cream onto your nose and spread evenly around the cartilage, including the bottom of the nose. I recommend you do not go above the tip of the nose and onto the nose bridge, as we do not want skin thinning there, as it can make the dorsa more prominent. Rub the cream in thoroughly, after which, remove any excess HC from around the nose, but do keep a layer of it on the desired area for about five minutes, then take that off as well. After a few minutes, if not straight away, water may start leeching out of the top of your nose, which is technically a good thing, so just keep wiping it off, that should persist to up to 15 minutes. The effects of hydrocortisone should last for up to an entire day.

Get your body used to it. First, apply the cream for two weeks straight, once a day, no matter what. Results most likely won't be very significant from the very first time you apply it.
After that is done, only apply it when you need your nose to shrink, such as when you're going out.

So here is the answer to this question:​

However, one may think that it does not do it to an extent, especially in such low, almost negligible dosages, where it has some sort of effect on the rest of your body, right? Wrong. After prolonged use, your body will feel the slight change and will adapt to it, potentially causing you a bit of trouble.

Since HC raises your cortisol, we need something that lowers it. Here is where Ashwagandha comes into play. You know how people claim it has "testosterone-boosting" effects? Well that is the case because it lowers your cortisol (which is what can stagnate test production, hence the claims).

Take 500-800mg (depending on your brand's dosage per pill) right before you apply the cream. You can keep doing that for about 8 weeks, after which I suggest you take a 4-week break from ashwagandha, whilst also slightly lowering your HC usage. After that, you can resume just as usual.

I used other, more extreme thinning agents on my nose, i got a slimmer nose but i got a bit of a breakout, then i adapted to it and now its just a bit of redness, and then my nose goes from fleshy to bony, thanks bhaijaaan
