Hydrocortisone Info:​

I have already talked about this in the first thread, but I will repeat it anyways in a concise way:

Hydrocortisone (HC) is a topical corticosteroid (again, no, not the "scary" anabolic/androgenic steroid for any giga high inhibcels) used to treat inflammation, redness, swelling, etc.

One of its side effects is thinning of skin, which is exactly why it is so effective when it comes to shrinking your nose.

Potential Side Effects of 1% Hydrocortisone (uncommon, mild):

- Skin atrophy (1)
- Rosacea-like eruptions (1)

If you experience any of these, take a break or hop off for good.



Proper Usage of Hydrocortisone:​

Apply two pea-sized drops of 1% hydrocortisone cream onto your nose and spread evenly around the cartilage, including the bottom of the nose. I recommend you do not go above the tip of the nose and onto the nose bridge, as we do not want skin thinning there, as it can make the dorsa more prominent. Rub the cream in thoroughly, after which, remove any excess HC from around the nose, but do keep a layer of it on the desired area for about five minutes, then take that off as well. After a few minutes, if not straight away, water may start leeching out of the top of your nose, which is technically a good thing, so just keep wiping it off, that should persist to up to 15 minutes. The effects of hydrocortisone should last for up to an entire day.

Get your body used to it. First, apply the cream for two weeks straight, once a day, no matter what. Results most likely won't be very significant from the very first time you apply it.
After that is done, only apply it when you need your nose to shrink, such as when you're going out.

After prolonged use, your body will feel the slight change and will adapt to it, potentially causing you a bit of trouble.

Since HC raises your cortisol, we need something that lowers it. Here is where Ashwagandha comes into play. You know how people claim it has "testosterone-boosting" effects? Well that is the case because it lowers your cortisol (which is what can stagnate test production, hence the claims).

Take 500-800mg (depending on your brand's dosage per pill) right before you apply the cream. You can keep doing that for about 8 weeks, after which I suggest you take a 4-week break from ashwagandha, whilst also slightly lowering your HC usage. After that, you can resume just as usual.



Since I've mentioned it in my first thread, I will not be giving any in-depth advice on retinoids in this thread, as all you need to do to make your nose shrink from them, is follow their usual regimens. All I'm going to say is that it does shrink the nose in most cases, however not all skin complexions/conditions are predisposed to said shrinkage. But whether to use it or not - is up to you. Take a dermatologist's advice, or at the very least, find reputable threads here if you do want to use it (I'm on about general usage btw, not exclusively for the nose).

Ok nice I just ordered some 1% hydrocortisone from your source and I'll let you know how it goes. Cba taking ashwaganda for it though doubt it has any effects on testosterone at all so.
Two pea sized drops twice a day around the tip and alar base of the nose is going to be my regimen and ill see how it is after a couple weeks if not much improvement I will move onto tretinoin cream

mirin. i recommend you pair it with tret, as they have different mechanisms and synergize very nicely. btw the ashwagandha was there to suppress cortisol spikes, not to boost testosterone jfl

Yea I know but my friend had a very adverse reaction to ashwaganda and his whole face swelled up and all red and ashy so I don't want to risk that.
Also, I will pair it with tretinion if hydrocortisone isn't enough, I just want to wait and see,

can someone scientifically explain how the two weeks work? Won't the 'two weeks' effect wear off after a certain amount of time?
I wore hydrocortisone every night for like a month 2 months ago probably, forgot about it since.

I want to do it again. DO i need another two week period or am i chilling?

Good thread but these results aren’t permanent from what I know and your effectively breaking down collegen and making your nose age faster, risk vs reward I would use this unless your nose is off putting or not average, this can lead to permanent damage so it’s just a question is that worth the trade off for you

craziest thing is that the difference is barely visible on camera in most cases and can only be properly appreciated irl OR from far pics (mirrors/candids), as selfies make noses look humongous in general, but the fact that i can still notice the difference in these pics means youvr done a great job. very happy for you bhai:feelsez:

i am using mometasone, which is a form of corticosteroid
conciously minimising the usage of my nasal muscles, improve my lung efficiency

in 1-2 years when i turn 18, i will probably consider taking dutasteride or even rhinoplasty

this is easily debatable with a kid's logic , how could hydro be more effective if its less potent , betamethasone is a synthetic version of hydro which is more potent and safer and newer

No it isnt. It's more effective because it doesn't create the side effects that make your nose larger or appear worse. Something being more potent doesn't mean its better to use. Betamethasone is not safer and just because its newer doesnt mean it is better for this specific case

Since I've mentioned it in my first thread, I will not be giving any in-depth advice on retinoids in this thread, as all you need to do to make your nose shrink from them, is follow their usual regimens. All I'm going to say is that it does shrink the nose in most cases, however not all skin complexions/conditions are predisposed to said shrinkage. But whether to use it or not - is up to you. Take a dermatologist's advice, or at the very least, find reputable threads here if you do want to use it (I'm on about general usage btw, not exclusively for the nose).

Guess im tryin this shit, already have tret for my pizza face. Tret does the same ive been reading? Also would i even get HC. my sniffer huge but need cope before rhino

go for it man, tret (especially after tapering to higher conc.) and hc will do crazy work on your nose

Could Hydrocortisone on the lips shrink them? My mouth is too big.
 
It kinda looks like you're just contracting your nose tho. I'd be intrested in seeing a before and after from the nostril angel as proof.
