From what I’ve seen, this seems to be true.
How Clavicle Angle Influences Delt Insertion:
Upturned Clavicles (Slightly Angled Upward):
- Often elevate the acromion and give more vertical “room” for the deltoid origin (where the deltoid attaches at the clavicle and scapula).
- This can create:
- A higher deltoid attachment (starting closer to the neck)
- More prominent shoulder caps, since the muscle sits on top of an upward-sloping base
- A more 3D look, especially when viewed from the front and side
- Think of the clavicle as a scaffold — if it's slightly raised, the deltoid can hang off it in a more defined and prominent way.
