If I am already using Retin-A should I use dermaroller on top of that or would that be too much?

Do it once a week but don't use Retin-A after that since your skin will already be red

yes do microneedling , but try to get a microneedling device like derminator to avoid microtearing.

Yeah thanks. I will get such a device.
Was just wondering whether or not it would be overkill in combination with retin-a, which already "attacks" the skin.

Never on days where you use retin-a. Only use it if you've been using retin-a for months and your skin is no longer "frail."

i do every day retin a, and when I do microneedling (usually in depth 1.5 to 2 mm) I apply tretinoin afterwards. There are studies showing increased effectiveness when combined.

It didn't affect me negatively at all, maybe more peeling the next day...,

You don't want to dermaroll before tret, that shit is already strong enough, you don't want extra absorption and an increased chance that it gets into your blood stream. Dermarolling every day is also retarded, your skin needs time to repair itself.

Just don't use tret the day you use derma. Tret 6 days a week, derma once a week with other products.

I did indepth microneedling every 6 to 8 weeks, microneedling lets the product absorb more yeah, that's why apparently it is more efficient in scarring, there is a study on it. But I have done 9 or 10 microneedling session at home and aside from smoother skin it didn't fade the scars.

I also proceed with tretinoin to avoid post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
