V taper without lateral raises

The dumbbells at my new gym arent the best so I was thinking can I build an attractive v taper without lateral raises? Will still do overhead press pullups and so on
 
bump i just hate lateral raises and want to hear if theres something better

I mean yeah overhead press or upright rows, honestly just do the lateral raises tho. it’s the best side delts exercise

Do cable lat raises instead of db raises their better and more stable anyway

You need to do a lateral raise variation no matter what, either dumbbells, cable and so on

You can train your side-delts completely fine with a shoulder press at ~45⁰

Yeah bellow 45° the side delts get worked but that on it's own is not enough, that's like saying if you do a bench press you're also done hitting triceps or front delts. In fact you should stop at the 45° in shoulder press so you don't fatigue more since you do shoulder press for front delts not side, you do lateral raises for side

Shoulder press does good work for lateral head, but no point on not doing lateral raises because of the dumbells, just do it at cables and get strong without egolift
