It's not an enviable situation but Ukraine was being led up the garden path with false promises from the West.

Zelensky should have headed to Moscow or a mutual location for last minute talks which involved implementing Minsk II, ruling out NATO membership and a comprehensive free trade deal with Russia.

Anyway it doesnt matter. Crimea is most likely gone. Ukraine either deals with it or ends up giving Kyiv too. What you said should have happened before even Zelensky entered comedy

True but real fault rests with the United States. They wanted regime change in Russia and tried to use Ukraine as a battering ram to achieve this.

Biden should have ruled out NATO membership (which we were never serious about anyway) when Putin massed troops on the border.

I'm pretty confident this would have averted the conflict or at the very least made it a lot more difficult for Putin to sell to his own people.

Russia already has the lowest birth rate of all white countries, not to mention that the economy there was not working long before the war. in a few years it will be mostly oldcel land cemetery but hey obviously a dictator who is 70 and his mummy minions dont care what happens to their country when they're already in the grave.

How long can the war go on if there are few young men to hold together the infrastructre ? Will it make Russian demographics older ?
