Vitamin C is in fact a panacea for all skin problems, both taken externally and as a supplement it has many benefits. So don't forget to take your vitamin C pills, 1.5 g/day is optimal. Collagen-building and strong antioxidant properties have been proven, other properties such as faster scar healing, sun protection or hyperpigmentation-reducing are not yet fully scientifically supported, but are strongly suspected by experts.

Are there any Vit C companies anyone can recommend? Is there a certain type of vitamin C or are they all the same? How much do you take daily? Also does time of day play a factor, early morning or night?

Yeah, topical vitamin C is great. Would by no means call it a panacea though.
I wasn't only talking about topical Vit. C, I meant Vitamin C in general.

Again, its great, but taking vitamin C is also not a panacea for all skin issues.

I have some topical vitamin c laying around, can I safely use it in the morning and retin A at night?

I'm doing this and it works perfectly.

Yep, just be aware that both have the potential to cause irritation so that is potentially an issue but separating them you're likely going to be fine.

1.5g of Oral Vitamin C will eventually give you a nasty diarrhea.

I take 1-1.5 g of Acid Ascorbicum per day and I haven't experienced diarrhea yet.

@Seth Walsh thoughts?
