i wore braces between 14 and 19 i legit got them off a week ago, However, i started heavily mewing/chewing hard gum and practicing correct posture after i turned 16 and my face ascended hard. point being yes braces kind of flatten my maxilla but good oral habits during my orthodontic treatment helped reverse some of the damage
