Then why are you looksmaxxing? Or are you coping? Or is both destruction and improvement needed? A balance between the two?

every model of success is the same thing
the same beliefs repackaged to be relatable to a mass of people who need different types of stimuli to peak their interest

but tbh self destruction is truely better than self improvement
self improvement seems like the gradual change of habits to change ones psyche but gradual change gets mogged by self destruction.
because it feels like having some sort of realization of some sorts that change ur whole thought process and actions from day 1 ..i would love to elaborate further but u get the point

The point of the movie kind of contradicts itself

Tyler Durden saying “Self Improvement is Masturbation” is ironic since he has the dream male physique and one of the most attractive faces in hollywood/in the movie

He’s telling the narrator it’s pointless but the narrator is imagining himself as a “self improved” version of himself anyways

That's why you need to look into it more, because on the surface it is very contradictory, but in actuality it makes perfect sense. Philosophy is never supposed to make conventional sense. You're a sciency type of guy so you might struggle at first with understanding the movie as it involves a lot of abstract concepts. Most people including myself need to watch it at least several times before it begins to slowly click and even then you learn more and more with every tiime you watch it. It's one of those ones where you need to watch it and then go away and live life, so you start to uncover things.

Here's a good run-down explaining it in a philosophical sense. Prob the best run-down of the movie Ive seen.

I’ll check it out after work, Fight Club is one of the best movies I’ve watched and I’ve seen a bunch of different breakdown videos, hopefully this one finalises what the actual philosophy behind the movie consisted of

I agree. I believe in self-destruction and then self-improvement.

So destroying the ego and THEN building up the NEW one.

In layman's terms. As ego is the conscious sense of self.

you cant self improve because the guy administrating the improvement is from the old unimproved crew, to fully self improve you must fire his ass too, but you cant create a vacuum with a hole in the container

No one here looksmaxxes

i spent close to a quarter of a million on double jaw surgery, steroids, gym memberships, protein powders, laser fat spot treatment, co2 laser skin therapy, fillers, mastica/gum, penis extenders, etc just so i can have sex with escorts. it's all about what your objective is. if you merely want to betabux, marry, raise chad's children, wage slave and retire for social security and 401k, you don't need all of that, you can be a balding pot bellied subhuman.

Lmao, so wait a minute. You were too ugly to have sex with escorts? They passed on your money? LMFAO?!!!!!!!!

If you actually try self improvement it's not cope tbh. You guys just want to be losers forever. Even if its just a cope it's worth it

I'm looksmaxxing to increase my leverage as a politician and other areas of life are easier too. And other "self improvement" I do is a means to an end rather than for some kind of self actualization or something
