Hypothetically speaking would a 30 day water fast with light weight training get you shredded with basically zero muscle loss?

I’m not too sure cuz there’s hella sources saying when you water fast hgh spikes which prevents muscle loss if paired with light weight training

you cant traing ideal u have no power
You don’t want to train to failure tho cuz that will burn through the muscle, I heard it’s better to do light weights high reps to activate it and you won’t lose much muscle

beside training you wont lose much muscle in the month. losing muscle as i said starts after 4 weeks. but you need to start training lighter again and eat clean and good for atleast 3 days to get energy back

That's literally what a waterfast results in - A state of the body where it repairs itself using it's own resources including your muscle mass.

Waterfasting would kill most of your progress you made in the gym and you would look scrawny not lean LOL. Especially since you are doing it for 30 fucking days.

OP, get in a simple calorie deficit and eat 500 calories lower than your maintaince. It's not that deep :feelskek:

I just can’t warp my head around that because wouldn’t humans have gone extinct if in times of starvation the body ate the muscle? It makes more sense that the body will run through its fat first then muscle after all the fats gone

Noticeable amount?
Probably noticeable after 30 days, what's more yikes is if you work out hard, you'll eat into muscle because when you're starved your body finds it easier to turn muscle into glucose than turn fat into energy. So when you say light work out, it has to be pretty light without stressing the body.

Yeah one study found after 8 days of water fasting, 2kg loss in fat mass and 4kg loss in lean mass
it's literally losing more muscle than fat

thats just false bhai if you want your body to be in a state where it uses fat for energy or repair just bring it into a ketosis state
