Wavy hair not waving

Both my parents have wavy hair. I have thick loose wavy hair (really wavy while wet) and i use shampoo, wash out conditioner and sea salt spray but after drying my hair on low heat with defuser its flat, straight, frizzy and heavy.
Im growing my hair out it reaches below my lips by a cm or so. Havent had a haircut in a while is that the problem?
If not, what shloud i try?

u shouldnt be using harsh shampoos if u have textured hair- try find one thats better suited for ur hair specifically. Also use leave in conditioner not wash out

do no shampoo and see if it helps, your hair is probably damaged from over shampooing or using bad ingredients
