Yes usually getting eye contact is a higher chance the approach will go well. However, I have had many lays where the girl didn’t notice me and I went up and approached her anyways. Watched a couple of approaches by other guys.
Average guy approaching was strong MTN white guys and would try weird cringy dance moves to try and get the girls to join in the dance but in all but one of the cases the guys just got ignored, the girl would literally retreat into her circle of friends or shes just humour him for a short time until he got the hint and moved on.

At this club the hottest girls in there were the workers. There was maybe two decent girls in the place apart from the waitresses, average girl was weak MTB often overweight and just unappealing

Get to the gay club and security is very heavy we get ids scanned and patted down before we can get in. Seemed over kill to me but I've heard a ton of fights kick off at these places so maybe they do need this much security
