I have been lean maxxing for the past month, and I did 75 minutes of bike riding this mourning, so I was abut 11% BF when I was at the beach today. I walked the length of the beach and back, about 1.5 mile in each direction. I saw probably 1,000 people in bathing suits, no adult on the entire beach had a BF% lower than me. There may have been a few 15/16 year olds on the beach with a low body fat percentage, but I am not a pedo, so I won't have noticed.

The beach is just a meme in 2022 US.

But you would expect a disproportionate number of those low body fat people to be at the beach, where else can you flex your low body fat? And it wasn't like there were lots of men/women in the 12-15% range.

13-15 may be more common. But 10-11 requires serious discipline and commitment. Not many such people exist

Probably the same here in Western Europe. Not that I go to the beach or anything but most guys that I see are nowhere near 10% bf, not even in the gym from what I can gauge.

I suspect location is a factor. I have homes in west FL and in New England. Those are the only beaches I have been at in the past year. People in West Florida are actually fatter than people in New England, but that is probably mostly age. When I used to vacation in Boca Raton pre pandemic I would see more lean fit people. But it isn't clear to me if that would still be the case post pandemic.
