I was in bed reading and I got an epiphany.

Werther was chasing PUSSY for the whole book and CHARLOTTE never gave him a crumb.

While her fiancé was always in bussiness trips probably fucking random FOIDS, not giving a fuck about her. And she still prefered him over Werther.

That is the real lesson in that book.

NEVER chase pussy.

If you chase pussy you end up CUCKED.

Goethe was redpilled in the 18th century.

I read that book WRONG.

I will reread now BYE.

Top 10 books you've read? Preferably more obscure ones that I'm not prone to have heard of already.

Also what is your opinion on Faust?

Let's say I recently started reading seriously (like in reading actual books not redpill think and grow rich bullshit) and I am currently just reading literature classics so not really obscure lol.

I could recommend Confessions of a Mask and Temple of the Golden Pavillion, both by Yukio Mishima (very interesting person too aside from his literature) which might be the most "obscure" things I have read.

Also, assuming you are not spanish I can recommend some spanish classics, such as El Burlador de Sevilla by Tirso de Molina, El estudiante de Salamanca by Espronceda (which I am reading right now) or La vida es sueño by Calderón de la Barca.

About Faust it was the first serious book I read earlier this year, I enjoyed it very much, especially the first part. Second part is full of grecoroman mythological references which made it kinda a difficult read for me, but I got through it. I am planning on a reread once i read more greek plays and such.

My favourite book is Sorrows of the young Werther or The Illiad.

I have only read The Sailor Who Fell From Grace with the Sea by Mishima this far, I have the other two in the bookshelf however.

I will check these out thanks.

Heard Faust is the greatest book ever written only being challenged by The Brother's Karamazov.

I have The Ilaid also but haven't gotten around to it, will do so eventually thanks for the help.

Do you read any philosophy at all?

Haven't read any Dostoyevski yet, feel kinda intimidated by the size of his books, might start with one of his shorter ones

I wish, I have been thinking about starting but dont know where. Was planning or reading some "History of Philosphy" volumes and after that just branch out into the thinkers I feel more attracted to. I have some Plato, Kierkegaard and Nietzsche on my bookshelves but because I found them in some vintage book shops and were dead cheap.

Actually now that I think about it I have read "Sun and Steel" by Mishima and "The myth of Sissyphus" by Camus, which are kinda "philosophy" books.

Still both of these authors are better known for their literature

For Dostoyevsky I'd recommend Notes From Underground as a starting novel, also the novella White Nights is a proper incel book.

If you want to get into Nietzsche ---> Genealogy of Morals,
if you want to get into Plato ---> The Republic,
if you want to get into Kierkegaard ---> Fear and Trembling.
