I think in a study it was stated that most relapsed by 2mm? Apparently common and expected

Depends which procedure you get. Anterior maxillary downgrafts are more unstable than BSSO advancement on its own, for instance. Other things matter too, like type of fixation, material of plates/screws, amount of plates/screws, etc.
