What bf% to cut to before starting lean bulk?

Obviously we all want to be lean for face aesthetics. But going too low bodyfat% it becomes hard to build muscle. So should i cut down to 12% and bulk to 15%, or cut down to 15% and bulk to 18%?
 
Talking a slow lean bulk gaining 0.8kg/month for many months

only works if you're gl. I'd still be normie when lean, pursuing body halo is way more worth imo

You can't bulk unless you'll be okay with gaining fat. If you're not okay with gaining fat, it's time to cut.

science aint really advocating for large calorie surplus recently, see greg doucette jeff nippard and others, they all lean bulk

the main idea is u dont wanna be fat for extended time periods since it looksmins body and face. I'm okay with gaining some fat but i want the minimal amount which will still allow muscle gainz
 
Well what % are you now and do you want to be lean by the summer or will you bulk through the summer? It’s hard to answer this question without more detail into your goals.

18% and dont have a time frame. Its more a question of if id be spinning my wheels making zero gains floating in the sub 15% range

without going into detail because I’m lazy, you should aim for 12% (chances are you’ll start at 13/14% realistically) and bulk to 18/19%

you’ll make good gains bro

do the math and have a timeline, lots of resources to help you figure out the timeframe online for how much you should eat starting around 12%, it’s very important to have an end goal for the bulk and to track your weight weekly

I did 12-18 my first bulk after cutting down from 25%

the leaner you are the more time you can bulk without getting too fat, it will show in your face so cutting to 12% is absolutely worth it if you will actually lean bulk all the way to 18%

The main goal should be to where u can lean bulk for at least a year-1.5 years before u start hitting the 15-16% range.
I would recommend going down to 10%

If you went to 12% and started bulking your bulk won't last very long.

cut down to 8 and lean bulk up to 10

cut up to 10% and then volume up to 15%.
