What causes wispy hair like this?

I saw these pics in another thread and was wondering how the hell his hair looks so wispy? Is it because its thin and dry?

balding or natural thin hair + using shampoo and conditioner that isn't suitable for your hair type + a washing routine that also isn't suitable for your scalp type.

it's not uncommon to see this type of shit in men who just don't care and use all purpose everyday shampoo.

more or less, his hair would look far better with a suitable shampoo and washing it less frequently, you can see very obvious breakage in both pictures if you zoom in.

looks like he has curly hair but doesn't know how to deal with it. it ends up frizzy and poofy like that. in addition to thinning

Neither, each person has a different level of scalp oiliness and hair type. They need to look at their own hair and experiment.
