what cm should my mouth widening appliance be if my mouth is ≈4cm?

i used to use a 7cm mouth widening appliances i 3d printed from this thread, but i didnt see much improvement over a few weeks, and it no longer hurt my mouth. what size cm shuld i print next? i can only print one bc my friend is charging crazy amounts to 3d print it

No size will ever work.

Your lips are mainly made of the orbicularis oris muscle plus connective tissue rich in Collagen and elastin. Mouth widening appliances only causes temporary mechanical stress which is not enough to trigger tissue hypertrophy or permanent remodeling because of elastic recoil and tissue homeostasis the lips return to their baseline shape once the pressure is removed.


There are only two ways to actually get wider lips:

1. Commissuroplasty a surgery that alters the mouth corners to increase mouth width.

2. And you can do microcuts in the corner of your lips, on each corner with topical lidocaine (painkiller cream), this would make it sit farther laterally and give the appearance of a wider mouth.

No, since it's very risky, and don't take it as personal advice from me, but i would buy a topical pain killer (preferably lidocaine which is a tattoo numbing cream) and cut each corner of the lip laterally by as much as you need (don't over do it or you'll look like joker, a few mm should go a long way and improve mouth width significantly)
