Why are most arabs from Oman, Iran etcs like Asians, esp Japan?

Not precisely. A Tunisian "Arab" has more cultural ties with Malta, Italy (Sicily) and Spain than with Saudi Arabia or Yemen. Actually, the ties between the Western Mediterranean are NOT due to modern European colonialism; nay, they long predate it.
