I mean, I was agnostic up until earlier this year, so I absolutely resonate with that thought. But after being convinced, I cannot see it that way anymore. I see it as simply true

I respect them as well. Personally, who convinced me was someone on YouTube called Trent Horn, he debated Alex O’Connor a while back (and recently), and his points on Gods existence are unlike any I’ve heard. I’d recommend looking into it, being religious now feels great compared to when I was an agnostic
ill definitely look into that video, but i bet it feels better, it feels great to constantly have something to look forward to and believe in, it just never clicks completely in my mind and theres always some form of serious doubt about his existence
The formal debate (discussion, more like) they had was nice, and I looked into the videos he has on his channel, those led me deeper. And yeah, believe me I get it. The problem of divine hiddenness was insane for me, I could not for the life of me understand why, if He exists, he wouldn’t make himself clearer. But the evidence for his existence outweighs that heavily, so that question becomes irrelevant

Of course. For me, I always want to tell people about it, if they are willing to hear a new perspective, not because of some arbitrary reward or hope of evangelization, but because I was genuinely in that spot once and it was terrible. The bouts of existential dread and panic I used to suffer just no longer exist anymore, and if they do they are shadows of what they once were.

yeah and if i think really hard about why you see anything at all it gives me a very strange feeling, and if the world were a simulation we would never know, because we can research atoms and the laws of physics and all of that, but we'd just be researching the laws whoever made the simulation set for us

or is your consciousness a replaceable thing? maybe you had a different soul in a past life that you dont remember because that consciousness you had then is now gone, irreplaceable once you die but replaced with a new one when you reincarnate
we'll never know what happens, but i hope its just a cycle of life and death until we cease to exist.
It’s very weird, if we must believe if there is nothing beyond the physical world we exist in it seems weird that “we” are humans out of all the living things and exist via assembly over billions of years in perfect conditions, with no other life found anywhere (unless gov are hiding the aliens or something). Or the fact that if there is a “viewer” how is that “assigned” if that makes sense. While communication with “god” seems unlikely to me communication with some kind of entities or psychic things is a more compelling idea.
exactly, and the possibility that all of that happened in the first place is near impossible, us thinking that we are the only living things that matter in the entire universe is incredibly naive and narcissistic to believe, additionally if there are other living things in the universe which the probability is high, does "god" love them the same, and if so why didn't jesus mention it when he was on earth, the theory that jesus was an alien/entity from whoever is controlling the universe is also very possible and makes a lot of sense, and why am i conscious and typing this right now and what separates me from others consciousnesses if not by personality? why even create any of it in the first place?
