realistically i think, your brain ceases and then nothing, like a house without residents, nothing happens. although it is hard for the human mind to comprehend the idea of nothingness because we have never experienced it.
all the dead-come-back-to-life stories i've seen are only when the heart stops and not when someone's brain died and came back so I assume nobodys actually survived brain death, cardiac arrest is brain on copium and doesnt count
