I am a NEET living with my parents atm and had a lot of family members come over last week for dinner. My cousins (around 16-19 y/o) were chilling with me in my room but I didn't really know what to talk about, so they carried the conversation.

They did talk about some vidya like Apex Legends and Valorant, but I don't play those. How popular are these games? Should I install and learn to play them? I used to be pretty good at shooters. Is anime socially acceptable now too?

I'm a 20 y/o returning to university this fall btw.

To be honest I have no idea. I have never had any social media. I think if your best bet would be to ask your friends, and start posting and have some activity with them.
