The average person on this forum hates salt/sodium and carbs due to the bloating effects.

My question is how do you guys get your protein in ?
your necessary calories in while somehow eating less than 100grams of carbs per day
and also stick to (on average most of you) less than or around 2g of salt ?
How does that affect your lifting and muscle building progress ?

I eat just the traditional way, the same usual foods our ancestors ate: pizza, hamburgers, Chinese, etc.

Some of our ancestors might have ate Chinese just not chinese.

Intermittent fasting. That way I can get more work done in the day and then have a large calorie buffer in the evening to eat whatever I like with high protein while staying lean and toned.

Often Pizza, Burgers, Chicken and some dessert.

Smart way to get more work done. How much calories do you find you can fit in the evening and what bodyweight and body fat do you typically stay at ?

Red meat, fish, chicken, ground beef, cheese, potatoes, a bit salt, some sauce. Very easy to get lots of protein in caloric deficit this way, sometimes even find getting my necessary calories to be a bit difficult

What do you mean, I'm talking about traditional Chinese food: rice, noodles, duck, dog, lamb, fortune cookies, etc.

I don't count calories at all. I smash weights 3 times a week with some additional spinning and cardio at least twice (Normally run around 15km total).

I'll also walk on my 2 off days around 10k steps on average.

I'm always between 70-75kg at 5'10 and remain lean and toned.

I literally pig out most evenings on anything I want just making sure I eat 100-150g protein.

----------

This allows me to stay sub 14% bodyfat, be toned and still enjoy life to the maximum. I also limit drinking to only when socialising 1-2 a week.

So you eat high sodium foods like pizza and burgers and remain not bloated face wise ? also not the mention all the starchy carbs in there. admiring.

I'm likely a bit bloated after my meals in the evening sure but unless you're meeting up with a chick that specific evening why would you care?

And yes I eat tons of sodium foods and everything you're not supposed to eat. Reality is it's about calories in calories out and get enough protein.

But in general if you're sub 15% bodyfat you're never going to look 'chubby'.

This idea of bloating is mostly a cope in my opinion, if you're low bodyfat you will look lean, if you're not, you wont.

Maybe you are significantly leaner than most of us and have good bloat genes.
if your abs don't look like this you are basically obese.

massive cope, I'm a skinny joke and I bloat the day after I ate certain kind of food

3 differents coworkers noticed my face bloats some days, and I don't gain any bodyfat

water retention is real, one of these coworkers actually asked me if I had teeth problems when he saw my temporary bloat, whereas it's just water bloat in my cheeks

Maybe it's not true for you, but in my case it isn't a big deal and it definitely is not cope. I used to be bloated all the time and used such excuses but nowadays I am 13% bodyfat, have muscle and implement a gruelling workout schedule.

Mostly meat (chicken and liver), fish, potatoes, different kind of veggies, stuff like blueberries or cherries which are low in calories. Every now and then i also eat some dark chocolate, but be careful about this cause it's easy to abuse.

Oh, and milk and cottage cheese. Lots of those.

Chicken, beef turkey mince, some potatoes, nuts, it’s very shit and bland but gotta do these things to look good.

Looking good > temporary satisfaction.

Your lifts will go down 10 / 15% at the gym but that’s the price you pay.

Would much rather lift less weight whilst looking good rather than looking like the average bloatcels you see at the gym.
