What hair style is good for my hair type

I think I have wavy or curly hair but its really fucking dry and leave in/curl cream doesnt do shit. Moose does help it keep place when I slick it back like some Italian shit but it seems like there are more mog hairstyles.

How can I make it not so dry?
Should I grow it out long or just cut it and keep doing the Italian slick back?
Any other tips?
